PUBLIC HEARING
The Jersey Township Zoning Commission will hold a special hearing on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at 7:00 pm. The meeting will be held at the Township Hall meeting room located at 1481 Mink Street in Pataskala. The Zoning Commission will consider application 44-2023 submitted by Matthew Martin requesting a Zoning Map Amendment for the property located at 9897 Jersey Mill Rd. Applicant is requesting to rezone +/- 1.6 parcel from Rural Residental (RR) to General Business (GB-1) for the proposed use Contractor Storage.
The board will also consider the following Resolution Book Text Amendments

> Section 16.37 Solar (New)
> Section 16.38 Temporary Dwelling Types (New)

The Zoning Commission at the end of hearing or within 30 days a hearing will decide on a recommendation to be given to the Jersey Township Trustees.
Information will be available on the township bulletin board.
MINK CORRIDOR OVERLAY DISTRICT
The Mink Street Corridor Overlay District (“MCOD”) is created pursuant to Section 519.021(C) of the Ohio Revised Code to further the purpose of promoting the general welfare, encouraging the efficient use of land and resources, promoting public and utility services, and encouraging innovation in the planning and building of appropriate types of retail, office, and commercial development.

The Zoning Department is responsible for enforcement of the Zoning Resolution within the unincorporated area of the township, including issuing permits; assisting residents and property owners with zoning and land-use questions; and providing informational assistance to the Zoning Commission and Board of Zoning Appeals.

Resolution Book Preamble

This resolution is enacted for the purpose of promoting public health, safety, morals, comfort and general welfare; to conserve and protect property and property values; to secure the most appropriate use of land, and to facilitate adequate and economical provisions for public improvements, all in accordance with a comprehensive plan for the desirable future development of Jersey Township; and to provide a method of administration and to prescribe penalties for violation of provisions hereafter described as authorized by the Ohio Revised Code.
