​​Sealed proposals for “Jersey Township Road Maintenance Project” in Jersey Township will be received by the Jersey Township Board of Trustees, Licking County, Ohio at the Jersey Township House by contacting Butch Wedertz at 614-374-6975 between 7:00 am and 3:00 pm Monday through Thursday, or mailed to Jersey Township Trustees, 1481 Mink Street, Pataskala, OH 43062,  until the 3rd day of May, 2019  at 4:00 P.M.

On the 6th day of May 2019 at 7:30 P.M., bids will be opened at the office of the Jersey Township Trustees at the Jersey Township Hall, 1481 Mink St. Pataskala. A contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder within (10) days of bid opening.  A pre-bid site inspection may be arranged by contacting Butch Wethers at (614) 374-6975.

Specifications and Bid Forms may be obtained by contacting Butch Wedertz Monday through Thursday from 7 am to 3 pm at 614-374-6975, or downloaded from website after filling out form [[ HERE ]] . A brief description of the required work is as follows:


Paving Projects  and Chip Seal Projects of various roads in Jersey Township, Licking County, Ohio.


Specifically, all bids shall reflect the individual cost of any or each of the following sub-projects:


  1. Resurfacing of  Hidden Hills Rd. (0.55 miles)
  2. Chip Seal of following roads per following detailed descriptions (8.45 miles total).

a.    Reussner Road

b.   Alward Road

c.    Putnam Road

d.   Jersey Mill Road

e.    Green Chapel Road


  Bids shall be sealed and marked as “Jersey Township Road Maintenance Project Bid.”

Bidders who submit a bid must be a Plan Holder of record at the Issuing Office. Bids from Bidders who are not on the Plan Holders List may be returned as being non-responsive. All bidders must be prequalified with the Ohio Department of Transportation to perform roadway work in Ohio.


Plan Holders are required to provide an e-mail address to receive addenda and other information electronically.

All contractors and subcontractors involved with the project will, to the extent practicable, use Ohio products, materials, services, and labor in the implementation of their project. Additionally, contractor compliance with the equal employment opportunity requirements of Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 123, the Governor’s Executive Order of 1972, and Governor’s Executive Order 84-9 shall be required.


Bidders must comply with the prevailing wage rates on Public Improvements in Licking County and Jersey Township, Ohio as determined by The Ohio Department of Industrial Relations. The Trustees reserve the right to reject any and all bids.


The owner intends and requires that this project be completed by September 30th, 2019.
